Hi, I’m Kristina.
My passion for people and desire to help others led me to the field of psychotherapy. I’m drawn to holistic and person-centred therapy models and enjoy working with adults and adolescents to meet their goals.
I’m warm and genuine and create a space where people are free to explore and make change. I firmly believe that all people have the capacity to change, and will work with you to meet your goals and recognize your strengths.
Outside of grad school and work, I’m the mother of three, a dog owner, a runner, a somewhat lousy triathlete, a novice artist, and more.

Supporting children, teens, adults, and families through life’s toughest moments is at the heart of my work. As a Master of Social Work (MSW) intern, I am completing my clinical placement under supervision while pursuing advanced training in play therapy. My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for each client’s story.
How I Work
I believe therapy is most effective when it feels safe, collaborative, and adaptable to each person’s unique needs. My work is informed by the science of the nervous system—how stress, trauma, and connection affect our bodies and minds. I use a blend of guided reflection, mindfulness, curiosity-based conversations, and creative modalities to help clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. I draw on motivational interviewing to support clients in clarifying goals and am inspired by Rogerian therapy, which emphasizes empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard.
Areas of Focus
• Anxiety, stress, and emotional regulation
• Trauma, grief, and life transitions
• Child development and parenting support
• Play therapy (under supervision and training)
• Medical stress and caregiver support
• Family and relationship challenges
• Nature-based and equine-assisted therapy (in training)

My name is Sonia, and I am a licensed therapist with years of experience and specialization in supporting children, youth, and families through trauma-informed, attachment-based, and play therapy training. My approach is grounded in authenticity, connection, and a deep belief in the healing power of play especially for children and youth navigating an increasingly complex world.
I also work with immigrant and refugee families, bringing cultural sensitivity to the unique challenges that arise from migration, adjustment, and systemic barriers. I welcome children and families from diverse cultural backgrounds and lived experiences, working through a trauma-informed and identity-affirming lens that recognizes the impact of intergenerational trauma, marginalization, and social stressors on child development.
At CLARITY, I offer virtual play therapy across Ontario, designed to meet the realities of today’s families. This isn’t just a convenient option; it’s an approach that reflects how families live, connect, and navigate the world today. It’s designed to adapt to the needs of a new generation; one growing up in a fast-paced, digitally connected world where flexibility and creativity are key.
Virtual play therapy meets kids where they are, offering flexibility, emotional comfort, and real-life integration. From building calming strategies, to engaging in therapeutic games that strengthen skills and coping tools, to supporting regulation without the stress of travel — virtual care becomes a bridge to healing, not a barrier.
My practice supports children aged 5-12 years old, with a focus on younger kids, working through:
● Complex trauma, PTSD & attachment challenges
● ADHD and neurodivergent conditions
● Anxiety, grief, identity & emotional dysregulation
● Experiences of migration, loss, or cultural adjustment
● Low self-esteem, self-doubt, and identity confusion
● Family conflict or relationship challenges
● Social difficulties, peer rejection, or school-related stress
● Sensory sensitivities or overstimulation
● Cultural transitions, immigration-related stress, or refugee experiences
● Perfectionism, pressure to succeed, or burnout
● Depression
● Issues with body image
● Involvement in risky behaviors
● And more
I draw on evidence-based interventions, including Child-Centered Play Therapy, Theraplay, Narrative Therapy, attachment-based approaches, somatic strategies, and expressive arts, always tailored to your child’s needs and development.
As a therapist, mom, and trauma survivor, I don’t just believe in the power of play; I’ve lived it. Play has been a lifeline, a way to feel safe, find my voice, and reconnect with my truest self. That’s the heart of the work I do with kids: creating spaces where they feel seen, supported, and free to be who they are, while learning to cope with the challenges that are impacting their behaviors and lives.
Outside of therapy, I’m usually with my sweet and busy little boy, journaling in my blueberry notebook, or enjoying a late-night square of chocolate: my quiet rituals of joy.

Hi, I’m Julia!
I am passionate about growth and healing and know that talking isn’t always the fastest way through. I support children, parents, families and at times even adults to heal at their level and pace using therapeutic play, art and sand, allowing change to occur with or without verbal communication.
I specialize in helping people feel witnessed, appreciated and understood by being a safe space where all parts of self can be opened and explored. I reflect back the thoughts, emotions, actions and patterns I see and feel, allowing clients an opportunity to explore, reflect, feel, and release blocks allowing themselves to realign with their full potential.
My personal life lessons and losses, specialized education, training, and experience have equipped me to support all members of the family to navigate through their own journey.
